I joined QES in 1998 as Second in the English Department. Since then I’ve been fortunate enough to have had several roles, the most long-standing being as Assistant Headteacher and Director of Sixth Form. Latterly I was Deputy Headteacher and since 2017 I’ve been QES Headteacher. Whilst everyone shares the responsibility of making sure QES is the best school it can be, my role is to keep the vision, standards and ethos high on everyone’s agenda–what a privilege that is!

I joined QES in September 2020 and I am excited to be a part of the team. I ensure that our curriculum is reviewed, we consider student voice, and that we provide a comprehensive spiritual, moral and cultural education for our young people. I work closely with our Pupil Premium team and ensure students have the best chance of achieving. I also teach English and oversee the development of this website

I joined QES as Assistant Headteacher in 2020 and was previously Assistant Headteacher of a smaller school in Cumbria. My principal focus is the health and well-being of both staff and students, which this year has primarily mean helping to coordinate our Covid response and support. I already feel very much at home in our happy, caring and vibrant school community.
