Destinations & Results

Destinations

Every year many of our students leave our corner of Cumbria for pastures new with the majority starting courses at various universities around the UK.

We support students through this process and it remains one of the highlights of our job to see our young people move on to new and exciting challenges whether they be apprenticeships, GAP Years or degree courses. For those choosing degree courses Universities in the North remainĀ  popular but we have students who progress much further afield including a small number who travel overseas. Over a third of our students attend Russell Group Universities and every year we have Medics, Vets and Law students startingĀ  heir careers. The range of courses that students choose is immense and includes those who attend Conservatoires and Drama schools. The destinations map we have provided here shows where our UK university students have attended over the last two years.

UCAS Information

Please see booklet below for UCAS information for parents and students.

UCAS Subject Reference & Predicted Grades

Every year around 70% of our students apply to higher education through the UCAS system. We provide parental information evenings in November and June to outline the application process. We encourage all parents and carers to read our UCAS Reference and Predicted Grade Policy, which can be found here.
