School Meal Provision

School Lunch Procedures and Payments

We operate a cashless catering system in school. Parents/carers can top up students lunch accounts through the My Child at School account and then all students have a swipe card to use when making a purchase at one of our 3 Café’s.

Break and Lunch are separate sessions and for each session students have a spending limit of £5.00. To amend either of these limits or to request new login details for My Child at School please contact office@qes.org.uk. You can login to My Child at School through the quick links section or by clicking here.

If students wish to purchase food they will need to have enough credit on their account to cover the cost as students will not be able to go overdrawn on their lunch accounts. In cases of genuine emergency students will be offered a one-off loan of up to £3.50 with parents/carers being notified via text message that their child has used this facility and asked to ensure the emergency loan is repaid straight away and sufficient credit added. Accounts which remain in debt will be frozen.

If you have any concerns about providing funds for your child’s lunch account please contact office@qes.org.uk to speak to your child’s Head of Year.
